In brief
Solis depended almost entirely on new customer acquisition, with little structure for retention. Repeat purchase rates were low, email flows were outdated, and there was no clear plan for turning first purchases into lasting relationships.
The Challenge
Existing email flows were generic, sent at the same pace regardless of behavior. Retention wasn't tracked as a core metric, leaving the business unsure whether campaigns influenced repeat purchases or were simply going unread.
The Approach
The lifecycle system was rebuilt around purchase behavior, segmenting customers by category and repeat likelihood. Personalized flows replaced generic blasts, triggered by browsing activity, cart abandonment, and reorder timing specific to each product.
The Results
Repeat purchases rose 49% within five months, making email Solis's second-highest revenue channel after search. Customer lifetime value climbed steadily, and the system now runs largely unattended with quarterly adjustments.
